This heavily researched article dives into the details of Kennedy's longest-standing address — a small Boston apartment that he held throughout his presidency up until his death. I wove in many photos, records and archival material, including a copy of Kennedy's lease, to tell a story of how this place played a role in his early political career. I also helped create a social media reel for this story.

This photo-driven story shows the impact of Street Theory, which is behind 40+ murals across Boston that emphasize color, culture and community empowerment. This story stemmed from ongoing reporting about the city's efforts for more public art and took six months to produce. This piece started as a self-coded project, and after I pitched it, I adapted it to The Scope's CMS using HTML/CSS.

This project highlights data from a climate report as part of The Foundation's COP28 content and its overall push for climate solutions. I created all 13 interactive data visualizations in this piece using spreadsheets and Flourish, which showcase climate change's impacts on emissions, energy, agriculture and mortality across the world. (Note: I did not write the report or web copy.)

This is part of a three-part multimedia series about restorative justice, its impacts and a program called RISE, which gives some defendants who plead guilty a chance to participate in a rehabilitation program — with a restorative justice workshop — before sentencing. I wrote and created data visualizations for this part, which focuses on repairing harm with families and communities.

This 2,800-word piece dives into why journalists and newsrooms must actively work to build trust with their local communities, especially communities of color. I interviewed a wide variety of expert voices from media organizations, like MLK50: Justice Through Journalism and Trusting News, who discuss ways to earn this trust both at the individual and newsroom levels.

The sport of running in Boston has historically excluded people of color, women and nonbinary people. Coupled with data visualizations, this piece features voices who are part of the growing efforts to make the sport more inclusive and supportive, including those creating and advocating for clubs and competitions designed for runners of marginalized identities.

Consistently ranked as one of the happiest countries in the world, Iceland is a go-to spot for a proposal. Here are the best locations to explore Northwest Iceland with that special someone — from waterfalls to a hidden oasis to some amazing black sand beaches. This is a 3,000-word travel blog with about 30 images throughout the piece, and it required five days of traveling across the region.

This opinion piece for the Ideas section detailed my honest experiences and observations during Northeastern University's ambitious reopening in fall of 2020, in the backdrop of many colleges deciding to be remote. I critique the university's measures, discussing both its successes and shortcomings with nuance. At the time, I served as editor in chief of The Huntington News.

Boston has about 50 institutions of higher education. My co-author and I conducted an in-depth analysis of the fall semester reopening plans of 31 colleges throughout the city and created a chart comparing each plan, focusing on system of learning, isolation housing, periodic testing, calendar changes and dining hall protocols.
